Last night, I went uptown with some friends. Every Thursday during the summer, there is a different band that has a concert from 7:30-10:00. Last night it was a band that was similar to the one that will be playing at our wedding. They played a song that I liked called “That’s All.” Michael Buble sings a version of it, but his version is much slower. I’m not sure which version I prefer, but I’m leaning toward the Buble version. He has such a nice voice.
I was watching TV today and I saw an episode of Life With Jim that I thought was really funny. One of their kids was complaining that she didn’t like corn, so Jim tried demonstrating that eating corn can be fun. He started eating it and pretending he was a type-writer. Their kids did not understand. Then, the girl complained about not liking corn again and the mom said she sounded like a broken record. The girl asked what that was!
It got me thinking, what kind of things did people used to do at weddings that young people don’t know about anymore? Anyone know of anything?
I just found this cake topper over at Archie McPhee. It cracks me up because it’s the opposite of what you’d typically think of. Let me know what you think!
Remember that I wanted to do the Thriller dance at my wedding? This is the video that started it all. Did any interesting dances happen at your wedding or others you attended?
This groom in this dance makes me think of a guy I went to church with. It starts off with a song that’s special to Taryn and me and then it gets hysterical! It really gets good around 1:30. Feel free to leave a comment and let me know what you think!
I was looking at cake toppers today and I found some that I really like. There are a few websites that specialize in cake toppers. This one is from thatsmytopper.com.
Well, it’s been a couple of days, and I think I should show another example of a great first dance. In this one, the bride kind of reminds me of Bonnie Hunt, and it also makes me think of something that I wouldn’t put past Kate Hudson. Enjoy!
I told Taryn a long time ago that I wanted to do the thriller dance at our reception. Well, I was bored this evening and was looking up funny YouTube videos and I found this clip. I’m glad I don’t remember most of the 80s.
