Couric to Leave CBS
Posted on Apr 09, 2008 under Uncategorized | 2 CommentsI just found out that Katie Couric is going to leave CBS, possibly after next year’s presidential inauguration. Her contract, which began in 2006, is supposed to last until 2011, but I don’t think she enjoys the job, nor do I think CBS is happy with her as the head anchor of the CBS News. Her salary is about $15 Million, which I’m sure won’t be easy to say goodbye to, but I’m sure she has enough to live on. I’m curious as to whether or not CBS will hire another woman or if they’ll have a man again. It was big news when they hired her because she was only the second female head anchor, and the first permanent female head anchor in television history for the national news on any network.
