I saw G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra earlier this week. I was entertained, and recommend seeing this one in the theatre, only because of the special effects. If you have a big screen with a great picture, you might want to wait and rent it, but only if you also have excellent speakers because I thought the music was outstanding. The acting needed some help, especially Channing Tatum, who provides eye candy (according to Taryn), but not much depth as Duke. The best performances come from Marlon Wayans, who does an excellent job with the comedic moments in the film (although he doesn’t play a White Chick this time), and Sienna Miller, who gave a surprisingly stirring performance as the lead female, providing depth as she shows both sinister and saintly sides of the same character.
I give the acting a D+, the special effects a B+ and the score a B. Overall: C
Hello all. It’s been about a year since I’ve posted anything on this blog, and I want to explain why. I enjoyed blogging in the past, but after doing PPP for about two years, blogging became more like a chore. I was frustrated because I felt that my opportunities at PPP were few and far between due to an unfair page rank system, which was not the fault of PPP. It reached a point that I no longer enjoyed learning about new things and discussing them on here, so I stopped. I focused on my wedding, my family, my friends, my students, and my classes. Now, almost a year later, I’ve decided to start blogging again. I may do PPP again, eventually, but for now, I’m just going to enjoy sharing.

Okay, so the title might be a bit confusing. It’s supposed to be a combination of “noticed” and “nose,” but I’m not sure if it’s working. Anyway…
I was driving down I-74 today on my way to the airport and I noticed something that I inevitably see whenever I travel. There was a man driving his car, passing me (slow down!), and he was picking his nose! It’s bad enough that I saw it, but I know that he is not alone. Alas, the nose-picking-addicts-who-can’t-even-stop-while-driving are everywhere. I hate them have great concern for them. What is wrong with them that they can’t wait until their destination to pick there nose…perhaps in the privacy of a bathroom. Moreover, what if they got in an accident? Their airbag might shoot out into their hand, lodging their finger into the deepest darkest places in their brain, rendering them dead (or a vegetable…like a rootabaga…isn’t that a fun word? say it over and over). Furthermore, it kind of grosses me out.
I got my hair cut today. The lady was washing my hair and I looked up to realize that her armpit was right in my face. Normally I wouldn’t have noticed this, and I’m sure it always happens, but this time she was wearing a sleeveless shirt. My face was literally inches away, and I couldn’t help be think to myself, “I sure am glad that she wore deodorant today.”
It is summer time, and a lot of you probably have some activities that you love to do each and every summer. I remember when I was little, my family used to go out on our speed boat. As we got older, we had to sell the boat because it wasn’t used as much, but the memories of that boat are great. If you have a boat, make sure you remember your Boating Education. Don’t let unsafe practices risk your good memories.
